Dupuytren's Contracture Treated by Hand Specialist in Pasadena, CA

What exactly is Dupuytren's? Dupuytren's Contracture, sometimes referred to as Dupuytren's Syndrome or Dupuytren's Disease is a genetic condition that may cause fingers to flex or contract.

Right under the skin of the palms of your hands, there is a tough, fibrous material called fascia.  If the fascia becomes thick, you will notice bumps in the palms of your hands.  Over time, these bumps may form cords that form all the way into your fingers, causing your fingers to be drawn into the palms of your hands.

Even though this condition is genetically mediated, treatment options are available. Hand specialist Dr. Annette Billings is just the kind of skilled practitioner to help you regain function in your hands.
